Orlando, FL - You've waited all those hours in line to vote, got the rush of being a participating American citizen, and you can't wait to see the returns on Tuesday. Why not watch the nail biter that is Election Night with a few friends and some beverages downtown?
Both Bar BQ Bar and The Social are having Election Night specials this Tuesday so come out and drink with your patriotic brethren as the results come in. Whether you don your donkey ears and Obama '08 shirt or your elephant trunk and McCain sticker, these specials are sure to please. ( The ears and trunk are available at Party City, coincidentally).
Bar BQ Bar is celebrating with Basements of Florida, a bass and drums ensemble from Central Florida, and $2 drinks all...

-> night long. Add on the free entry and the lovely photo booth that I visit every time I'm at Bar BQ Bar and you have yourself a night of democracy and decadence.
At The Social (54 N. Orange Ave) on Tuesday, Phat N Jazzy presents an Election Night Special with Gerry Williams' 10 piece funk and soul band, resident DJs BMF and Slack, and Swamburger's Art Explosion. Doors for this event are at 10 pm, 18 and older, $7 entry.
Luckily, these two events are right next door to each other so if you are in the mood to take in all the fun Election Night offers, you won't have far to go. Let the live music mask the mumblings of the tired news anchors and their sad attempts at jokes (does anyone remember Dan Rather during the 2000 election, talk about slap happy) and drink to your favorite candidate.
